Japan Box Office: The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie Returns to Top 10

After disappearing once last weekend, The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie is back in the top 10 in its 11th weekend, ranking eighth.

The 136-minute sequel film to the two-season TV anime adaptation of Negi Haruba’s romantic comedy manga was released in Japan on May 20. Due to favorable reviews and high critical acclaim among fans, it has earned 2.15 billion yen (16.44 million USD) on over 1.5 million admissions, becoming the fourth top-grossing Japanese anime film of 2022.

Since last Friday, July 29, 91 more theaters in Japan have begun screening the film, and a limited number of miniature color papers with illustrations have been distributed as an admission bonus in the additional theaters.
